the decision of a small Swiss start-up to set the record straight in the watch market.
CODE41 is the brand feared by the entire watchmaking industry and which has already created a buzz in the international press.
It all began in November 2016, when this young brand raised more than 500,000€ in less than a month on the crowdfunding platform Kickstarter. Their proposal was simple: to offer high-quality mechanical watches at affordable prices.
Their secret? Turning their back on traditional distribution networks and employing a policy of total transparency on the price and origin of their watches.
DIRECT ONLINE DISTRIBUTION
Traditionally watchmaking brands have always sold their watches to physical distributors (stores and outlets), which then sell them on at an average markup of 40%. This is why CODE41 has decided to sell its watches directly to consumers through its online store.

Buyers know the exact production price of the watch, the origin of each component and the markup added to the retail price by CODE41.
Through direct online sales and a policy of total transparency, CODE41 is able to offer high-quality mechanical watches at prices starting from only 680€, a fraction of the prices set by the big brands.

The project has been creating a buzz ever since it was put online on the crowdfunding platform Kickstarter, and the entire first batches of 3,300 watches sold out in a matter of months. For many buyers, this was their chance to acquire a high-quality mechanical watch at an unbeatable price.
In the face of such an enthusiastic response and to meet strong demand, CODE41 has decided to put an additional batch of 1,100 watches on presale.
